Stand-Up Comedy at the Balboa Theatre

A Packed Lineup of shorter sets for up and coming Bay Area comedians during the first half of the show, with an intermission to grab another beer or popcorn from the lobby or that right on time bathroom break. The second half of the show features national touring and veteran comedians…With surprise pop-in guest sets.

Clark Jones

Clark Jones has been listed as one of the top 11 comedians by BET.com and his standup has appeared on HBO's "Crashing", "Night Train with Wyatt Cenac" on Starz, and the "2 Dope Queens" podcast. While in New York he has hosted the lauded Comedy at the Knitting Factory, been named one of Brooklyn's 50 funniest people, and performed in sketches for Comedy Central and Amanda Seales' popular Get Your Life web series. Clark was also a recurring character on FOX NFL Sunday's pregame show and recorded stand-up on season 9 of Comedy Central's "Feature" series.

His debut album "First of All" reached the top spot in its week's release and is streaming on all networks and he recently wrote on season 1 of “Run the World” on the Starz network.

Rea Kapur

Rea Kapur is a Bay Area based comedian, almost professional filmmaker, and devout lesbian. She’s performed all over the Bay, hosting and featuring for the likes of Mark Smalls, Deanne Smith, Tommy Tiernan, Jackie Kashian, and the patron saint of mental health comedy, Maria Bamford. She loves MILFS, movies, and amassing new followers on Instagram. Make her happy by giving her a follow @reakapur!

Tony Zavala

Tony Zavala is San Francisco-based stand up comedian. Originally from Los Angeles, he has made Northern California his home, where he produces shows with Bear City SF, Second Floor Stand Up, and Don’t Tell Comedy. His style is smart and personal, touching on handling relationships, his upbringing in a same-sex parent household, and navel gazing his way through life. He is a regular at The Punch Line and Cobb’s comedy clubs in San Francisco, and other clubs throughout the Bay Area. He has appeared at the Oakland, Santa Cruz, and Savage Henry comedy festivals, and opened for many comics including Dana Gould, Dulcé Sloan, Laurie Kilmartin, Jesus Trejo, and Steve Rannazzisi. Tony has black hair and brown eyes.

Julie Ash

Julie Ash is a rising star in the Bay Area comedy scene. She is charming and charismatic, yet derisive. The targets of her jokes include dudes in their twenties, tech startups, and dudes in their twenties who work for those startups. Julie has performed at SF Sketchfest, The Stand in NYC, and is part of the #HellaFunny crew. Julie also produces a monthly show every third Friday at Milk Bar called “Dopamine Hit”
