Balboa Oscar® Party
Sunday, February 24th
Once again the Balboa Theatre will celebrate the Academy Awards with a celebration and live broadcast on the big screen, Sunday, February 24. Reed Kirk Rahlmann returns as master of ceremonies.
Audiences are encouraged to dress up as a nominated film. . . literal translation and bad puns allowed.
There will be prizes for favorite costumes as voted by the audience.
Reed Kirk Rahlmann is writer and performer who will provide entertainment during commercials. He was a founding member of the improv ensemble True Fiction Magazine, and wrote a number of plays for Bindlestiff Theater. He just finished his first crime novel, "Gone Einstein", and when not writing can often be seen down at Pier 39, walking on glass to entertain tourists.
Doors open at 3pm for the Red Carpet procession (projected on our big screen) and the Oscar show starts at 5pm.

In the case that more than one entry achieves the same high number of correct guesses, one will be chosen at random and the runnerup(s) will be awarded a classic DVD courtesy of Kino Video (www.Kino.com) and a poster for a nominated film.
Only one entry per person. No purchase is necessary and you do not have to be present to win. . . but you'll be sorry if you miss our Oscar Party.
