Dear Friends |
I have long been a fan of the non-fiction work of Frederick Wiseman. When I was in college at San Francisco State College he was a visiting filmmaker who taught a fascinating class. He and his camera are like a fly on the wall, eavesdropping without introducing and we see and hear things so unexpected. With LA DANSE, we not only experience rehearsals and performances of the Paris Opera Ballet but gain insight into the complexities of keeping an arts organization moving forward. LA DANSE has been a huge surprise hit in New York and we believe San Francisco audiences will also love it.
Read Mary Ellen Hunt’s Q & A with Wiseman in the SF Chronicle.

LA DANSE devotes most of its time to watching impossibly beautiful young men and women .....Read More »
